Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion is a Bordeaux wine appellation which lies at the heart of the “satellite” titles of the Saint-Émilion appellation in the “right bank” Libournais sub-region. Château La Croix Guillotin is a 10 hectare plot on clay/limestone soils.

Wine growing / wine making

Château La Croix Guillotin is made under the guidance of consultant winemaking legend Michel Rolland. 80% Merlot & 20% Cabernet Franc aged in one third new oak barrels, one third 2nd use barrels and one third 3rd use barrels. Hand harvested.

Tasting notes

The nose is full of fruit thanks to the perfect ripeness of the Merlot. On the palate there are lush black fruits, smooth tannins and a delightful richness.

Food pairing

Duck and game terrine, rib of beef, roast lamb with rosemary, roast duck, confit duck, lamb tagine, Comté cheese.
