About the producer

Based in the heart of the Languedoc in Lezignan-Corbières, Domaines Auriol is a family-owned winery set up in 1995 by Claude Vialade. As the daughter of a former wine estate manager, wine has always been second nature to Claude. Today Domaines Auriol is a producer as well as a négociant who prides itself in its Occitan roots. Domaines Auriol is also one of the largest producer of Organic wines in the area and has been very proud of its environmental credentials for the past 25 years.

Wine growing / wine making

Located on the Terrasses de l’Orbieu, in the very heart of the Languedoc area, close to the sea. Calcareous soil on clay. Warm and dry climate. Trained vines, 15-year old vine stocks, pruned with the Guyot method. This training gives the leaves the ability to keep the freshness of the grapes. Harvest at night, gentle direct pressing. Free-run wine only, cold maceration, also cold fermentation during three days at 16°C.

Tasting notes

Bright, pale rosé. Light, dry and refreshing with aromas of red berry & pink grapefruit. A real feeling of lightness from the 10% ABV.

Food pairing

Mediterranean vegetables, couscous with merguez sausage, prawn & tomato linguine, goats’ cheese, oysters, grilled fish.
